Senior Parent  Financial Aid Night Thursday September 26, 2024 at 6:00 PM

The Counseling Department is sponsoring a workshop on how to fill out the FAFSA on Thursday September 26, 2024 at 6:00  The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is required and essential for all students applying for financial aid in college.  Representatives from the California Student Aid Commission and LA Mission College will be on-hand to explain the form line-by-line in both English (Library) and Spanish (Room 203). This is an opportunity you won't want to miss.  Their knowledge and expertise will help you with any questions you may have about financial aid. IMPORTANT: Attending this Financial Aid Workshop is extremely important. Changes are coming to the FAFSA application that YOU need to know. Students will not be able to fill out the application for parents and the application will be directly connected to the tax forms that you submitted. Even if you have completed the FAFSA in the past, you need to be VERY aware of the changes. 

Senior Parent College Night Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 6:30 PM

Attention Parents and Seniors!  The 2024 Senior Parent Meeting will be held Wednesday August 21, 2024, in the Phantom Theater at 6:30 PM.  Mr. Catlin, Mrs. Martinez, and Mrs. Lopez will be on hand to give vital information related to college admissions, college applications, testing, and important deadlines for the senior year.  Please be sure to attend this very important meeting for parents of seniors.  Please contact Mr. Catlin if you have questions: tcatlin@chsla.org
