Financial Assistance

At Cathedral High School, we are grateful for the opportunity to educate and support the young men entrusted to our care. As a Catholic school rooted in the Lasallian tradition, we are committed to providing a quality education grounded in faith, respect, community, and service. Guided by the vision of St. John Baptist de La Salle, we strive to make a Cathedral education accessible to families from all economic backgrounds throughout Los Angeles.

Our financial assistance program reflects this commitment by helping bridge the gap between what a family can afford and the cost of tuition. All financial aid at Cathedral High School is need-based, and we encourage any family who may need assistance with tuition to apply.

During the 2025–2026 school year, Cathedral High School awarded more than $5 million in financial assistance to approximately 90% of our student body. Through the generosity of donors, alumni, and supporters of our mission, we are able to continue empowering young men with a Catholic, college preparatory education in the Lasallian tradition.

To apply for financial assistance at Cathedral High School, families have two options:

  1. FACTS Financial Aid Application – Funding is provided directly by Cathedral High School. The FACTS application must be completed online, and all required income verification documents must be uploaded.
  2. Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) Application – Funding is provided through the CEF Foundation. The CEF application is a paper application that must be completed and submitted in person, along with all required income verification documents.

All families are eligible to apply for both programs. We encourage families to submit both applications to maximize their opportunities for financial assistance. Families must include proof of income, as income verification is required (1040 tax return, SSI benefits, etc.).
