Giving Opportunities

Contributions to following funds can be made online:

I) Annual Scholarship Fund

The Cathedral High School Annual Scholarship Fund is a way to provide needed funding for students from low income families, offer academic scholarships for our top students and to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of the school program. Following the tradition of St. John Baptist de la Salle, Cathedral College Preparatory High School has made a commitment to help make a quality Catholic education possible for committed students from the community. We ask that you consider investing in the future of Cathedral High School students.

II) Unrestricted Fund

These gifts could go to need or merit-based awards. Because this is a general fund, it gives our Office of Admissions and Development the flexibility to use your generosity in the way that’s most needed at any given time. This is particularly critical to meeting emerging demands and opportunities that can’t be predicted in typical long-range planning.

III) Endowment Fund

Cathedral opened in 1925 on the site of the Old Calvary Cemetery just northeast of downtown as the first Catholic high school for boys to be established by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Cathedral High School, the Christian Brothers and our Lasallian colleagues are committed to providing a quality college preparatory and religious education to our students. Cathedral High School is truly unique and continues to serve a need that is more important than ever.

More than 70% of our students require financial aid. Our ability to keep these students at Cathedral and develop them into men that Enter to Learn, and Leave to Serve, is increasingly dependent on Financial Aid. Contributing to the endowment fund would assist in continuing the mission of St. John Baptist de la Salle.
