Rest In Peace Br. La Salle Bossong, FSC

"It is with sadness that we received word that Brother LaSalle Bossong, FSC, a beloved Brother and teacher who taught at Cathedral during several assignments beginning in the 1950s and who only stopped teaching his Great Books class just last fall, passed away on Sunday morning after suffering a sudden heart attack Saturday morning at the Brothers Holy Family Community in Napa.

I was fortunate to be in Napa with Brother LaSalle last Saturday, January 13th and was pleased to be with him and show him photos of the progress being made with our new construction. I was glad to be and pray with Brother LaSalle since I knew he was very frail and not sure when I would be able to see him again. He was a Brother who loved Cathedral and was proud of our many accomplishments in our mission to educate boys who otherwise might not receive a Catholic education." - Principal Br. John Montgomery FSC

On this holiday, we commemorate the universal, unconditional love, forgiveness and nonviolence that empowered his revolutionary spirit." - Coretta Scott King
