Robert Guess '19 Goes the Distance!

Senior Robert Guess ran the LA Marathon for the 3rd time as a student at Cathedral High School. He ran his first marathon at age 16 all on his own and continued two years in a row. He is involved in Cross Country, Swimming, and Track and Field. Robert takes great pride in running the LA Marathon and represents Cathedral to its fullest every year. Go Phantoms!

The Golden Boy - Anthony Taylor Shines at Redondo Nike Invite

Congratulations to Sophomore Antony Taylor for winning both the invite 110m-14.50 and 300m 38.76 hurdles at the 8th Annual Redondo Nike Invitational, with CA state leading times. The team of Samadhi Soph, Daryl Summage, Anthony Taylor and Lennard Marshall took a close 2nd to Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits in the 800m sprint medley relay, in a time of 1:35.02. Go Phantoms!

Cathedral Alum Isaiah Jewett '15 was named MPSF 2019 Men's Athlete of the Meet

The junior Jewett won the men's 800m dash at the MPSF Championships by nearly two seconds with a time of 1:47.20 to earn 10 points in the team competition. He also anchored USC's 4x400m relay which won a Dempsey Indoor track record-time of 3:06.40, earning USC 10 more team points. For the third consecutive season, the only men's MPSF record that was broken was done by USC. Jewett is the third-straight Trojan Men's MPSF Athlete of the Meet, joining Rai Benjamin (2018) and Randall Cunningham (2017). Go Phantoms!

Congratulations to Lennard Marshall, Samadhi Soph and Anthony Taylor for winning the 1600m Sprint Medley Relay (3:38.81) at 41st National Simplot Games at the University of Idaho on Feb. 16, 2019.
