Started in 1921 by Charles F. Seymour, the California Scholarship Federation or CSF seeks to recognize students living in California who posses high standard in academic scholarship, community service and citizenship. It s the oldest scholastic institution in the state of California. Since its founding CSF has upheld the ideals of outstanding students. Membership is held during the semester following when the qualifying grades were earned and is for one semester only. In order to become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible. To secure eligibility for membership, a student must earn sufficient points from pre-approved courses lists. A grade point average of 3.5 is required to be eligible for membership at Cathedral High School.
